background

This fourth part of the film series Greg's Diary is the first with a completely new cast. The role of Greg Heffley, who was  played by Zachary Gordon in the previous parts , is this time the newcomer Jason Ian Drucker . Rupert Jefferson, played by Robert Capron in the first parts , is now played by Owen Asztalos . The producers cited the reason for this line-up change that the actors had become too old to play credible young teenagers. In the course of this, the other actors were also changed.
