The Gribowski G-10 ( Russian Грибовский Г-10 ) was an aircraft of the Soviet aircraft designer Wladimir Konstantinowitsch Gribowski . The machine was built in 1933 in aircraft factory No. 1, the former Duks works . It was designed as a sports and training aircraft.
development
The braced single-seater high - decker made of wood had a monocoque made of plywood . The wing was attached to the fuselage via a central pylon on the top of the fuselage and two V-shaped struts. The struts went from the lower fuselage side to about the middle of the wing. The landing gear was not retractable and covered.
In October 1933, the Soviet M-23 engine was installed and the type subjected to extensive flight tests. The results were satisfactory. However, difficulties arose with the production of the M-23 and the engine did not go into series production. As a result, the G-10 was also mothballed.
At the beginning of 1935, the sports pilot N. D. Fedosejew remembered the good flight characteristics of the G-10. He equipped the machine with a used Walter engine and started with it on a 5500 km long performance flight for sports machines. Although the machine had the engine with the lowest power, it managed a 2nd place behind the Jakowlew Ja-10 .
Nevertheless, only one machine of the model was built.
