On the lower reaches of the Bolshaya Ussurka

The Bolshaya Ussurka ( Russian Большая Уссурка , "Great Ussurka"; until 1972: Иман Iman ) is a right tributary of the Ussuri in the Primorye region in the Far East of Russia .

The Bolshaya Ussurka has its origins in the Sichote-Alin Mountains. It flows north at first and later turns west. The river meets in Dalnerechensk on its main tributary, the Malinowka . After 440 km the Bolshaya Ussurka finally reaches the Ussuri on the Russian-Chinese border. It drains an area with an area of ​​29,600 km². The mean discharge at the Waguton gauge (Вагутон) is 16.6 m³ / s. The river freezes in late November. The ice cover breaks again in mid-April. Rafting is carried out on the river over a distance of 235 km . In the lower reaches it is navigable.
