The Große Seekopf is a 2085 m high mountain in the Allgäu Alps .
Location and surroundings
It lies in the ridge that leads from the Kleiner Seekopf over the Pointer to the Wengenkopf and Nebelhorn , east of the Seealpsee , which gives it its name . The notch height is at least 45 meters, the dominance 900 meters.
botany
The Großer Seekopf is botanically interesting. Here you can find rare plants such as the moon rue or the ostrich bellflower .
Ascent
There is no marked hiking trail on the Großer Seekopf. It can be reached easily from the Edmund-Probst-Haus - Prinz-Luitpold-Haus high path. The Große Seekopf is of no tourist importance. To the west below the Großer Seekopf, the Höhenweg runs from the Edmund-Probst-Haus to the Prinz-Luitpold-Haus .
