The Great Uranium ( Russian Большой Уран ( Bolshoi Uran )) is a right, 155 km long tributary of the Samara in the southeast of the European part of Russia .

The great uranium originates in the Orenburg Oblast in the Obschtschi Syrt ridge . It flows mainly in a westerly direction through the rural west of Orenburg Oblast.
About 10 km east of Sorochinsk , the Great Uranium describes a wide curve to the northwest, before heading southwest towards the Samara, into which it joins a few kilometers southeast of Sorochinsk.
The river is mainly fed by meltwater.
