Torricella is 63 km northeast of Rome and 19 km south of Rieti . It is located in the Sabine Mountains between the Turano and Farfa valleys . The districts of Oliveto and Ornaro belong to the municipality. The municipality extends over an altitude difference of 350 to 825 m slm Torricella is a member of the Comunità Montana dei Monti Sabini .

The community is located in earthquake zone 2 (medium risk).

The neighboring municipalities are Belmonte in Sabina , Casaprota , Monteleone Sabino , Montenero Sabino , Poggio Moiano , Poggio San Lorenzo , Rieti and Rocca Sinibalda .
