Morro Reatino is a municipality with 352 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Rieti in the Italian region of Lazio .

geography

Morro Reatino is 63 km north of Rome and 20 km north of Rieti . It is located in the Monti Reatini above the Velino valley .

The municipality includes the districts Pacce, Cerqueto, Collatea, La Croce, La Scilga, Le Casette, Santarioli, San Valentino, Torricella and Valliola. The municipality extends over an altitude difference of 418 to 1,210 meters above sea level. Morro Reatino is a member of the Comunità Montana Montepiano Reatino .

The community is located in earthquake zone 2 (medium risk).

The neighboring municipalities are Arrone ( TR ), Colli sul Velino , Labro , Polino (TR), Rivodutri .
