Pozzaglia Sabina is a municipality with 314 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Rieti in the Italian region of Lazio .

Pozzaglia is located 71 km northeast of Rome , 41 km south of Rieti and 42 km northeast of Tivoli . It is located in the Sabine Mountains between the Turano and Farfa valleys . The districts of Montorio in Valle, Pietraforte and Pratarioni belong to the municipality. The municipality extends over a height difference of 526 to 1,128 m slm

Pozzaglia Sabina is a member of the Comunità Montana dei Monti Sabini .

The community is located in earthquake zone 2 (medium risk).

A red brick fountain on a silver shield with a cock in natural colors on it. According to tradition, the place name is derived from Pozzo Gallo , which means Hahn-Brunnen in German. In this respect it is a talking coat of arms .
