Borbona is a municipality in the province of Rieti in the Italian region of Lazio with 603 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located 115 km northeast of Rome and 42 km northeast of Rieti .

Borbona is located on a plateau above the Velino valley in the Sabine Mountains . The districts are Piedimordenti and Vallemare.

Borbona is a member of the Comunità Montana del Velino .
