Scandriglia is a municipality with 3125 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Rieti in the Italian region of Lazio .

geography

Scandriglia is 60 km northeast of Rome and 29 km south of Rieti . It is located in the Sabine Mountains above the Farfa Valley . The districts of Ponticelli Sabino and Santa Maria delle Grazie belong to the municipality. The municipality extends over a height difference of 209 to 1,368 m slm

Scandriglia is a member of the Comunità Montana dei Monti Sabini .

The south-eastern part of the municipality belongs to the Parco Naturale dei Monti Lucretili.

The community is located in earthquake zone 2 (medium risk).

The neighboring communities are Licenza ( RM ), Monteflavio (RM), Montorio Romano (RM), Nerola (RM), Orvinio , Percile (RM), Poggio Moiano , Poggio Nativo , Pozzaglia Sabina .
