Grupo Desportivo Sourense (usually GD Sourense for short ) is a sports club from the small Portuguese town of Soure . The club is particularly known for its football department.
Stadion
GD Sourense plays its home games at the Campo Dr. António Coelho Rodrigues in Soure. The stadium holds 1,000 spectators.
history
DG Sourense was founded on December 9, 1947.
The club played for a long time in the IIª Divisão , the then third division. After he finished the 2001/02 season 17th, he was relegated to the fourth division, the then IIIª Divisão . In the 2012/13 season Sourense then reached the championship in his playgroup and thus became a founding member of the new third Portuguese league, the Campeonato Nacional de Seniores . There, the clubs are assigned to the play groups according to their geographical location, and accordingly the club has been competing in Série E of the Campeonato Nacional de Seniores since then .
In 2006, the Fúria Negra, a fan group from the ultra movement , was founded and has supported DG Sourense ever since.
