Guido Ernst
Guido Ernst (born November 9, 1950 in Andernach ) is a German politician ( CDU ).
Life and work
After graduating from high school in 1970, Ernst studied sport and geography. In 1978 he passed the first state examination and in 1979 the second state examination for teaching at grammar schools. From 1980 to 1990 he worked as a high school teacher for the subjects of sport and geography at Are Gymnasium Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler and then until 1996 at Rhein-Wied-Gymnasium in Neuwied , most recently as senior teacher.
Since May 2004 he has been the first chairman of the SG Bad Breisig sports club . Ernst is married and has two children.
politics
Ernst joined the CDU in 1983 and was chairman of the CDU local association in Bad Breisig from 1990 to 2008. From 1990 to 2003 he was first deputy chairman and then until 2011 chairman of the CDU district association of Ahrweiler. He was also a member of the CDU Koblenz-Montabaur district executive from 1996 to 2009.
Ernst began his career in local politics . Since 1989 he has been a member of the Bad Breisig municipal council and a member of the city council of Bad Breisig . From 1989 to 2009 he was CDU parliamentary group chairman in the Breisig city council. Since 1994 he has been a member of the district assembly of the Ahrweiler district , from 1994 to 2009 he was deputy chairman of the CDU district assembly.
In the state elections in 1996 , 2001 , 2006 , 2011 and 2016 , Ernst was elected as a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament. In all election periods, he won the direct mandate in constituency 13 (Remagen-Sinzig) . In parliament he was deputy chairman of the Committee on Education, Science and Further Education from 1996 to 2001, from 1996 to 2011 a member of the Petitions Committee and from 2006 to 2011 chairman of the Committee on Media and Multimedia as well as a member of the Interior Committee. Since 2011 he has been chairman of the Committee on Education and since 2016 a member of the Committee on European Affairs and One World.
