Guillermo José Garlatti (born July 12, 1940 in Forgaria ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Bahía Blanca .

Life

Guillermo José Garlatti was ordained a priest on July 5, 1964 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Aquae Regiae and auxiliary bishop in La Plata on August 27, 1994 . The Archbishop of La Plata, Carlos Walter Galán Barry , donated him episcopal ordination on November 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Juan Carlos Maccarone , auxiliary bishop in Lomas de Zamora , and José María Arancedo , bishop of Mar del Plata .

He was named Bishop of San Rafael on February 20, 1997, and was instituted on May 8 of the same year. He was appointed Archbishop of Bahía Blanca on March 11, 2003 and was introduced to the office on May 10 of the same year.

On July 12, 2017, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
