Gunter Huonker

Gunter Huonker (born February 24, 1937 in Schwenningen am Neckar ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

From 1979 to 1982 he was Minister of State for the Federal Chancellor and in 1982 Parliamentary State Secretary for the Federal Minister of Finance .

education and profession

After graduating from high school , Huonker studied law and economics , which he completed with the first and second state examinations . In 1967 he joined the Freiburg im Breisgau district office as head of department . In 1968 he moved to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation as head of the office of the then Federal Minister Erhard Eppler .

Gunter Huonker is married and has one child.

From 1972 to 1994 Huonker was a member of the German Bundestag .

In the 1972 federal election , he won a direct mandate in the Ludwigsburg constituency , after which he has always entered the Bundestag via the Baden-Württemberg state list.

Public offices

On December 10, 1979, he was appointed Minister of State to the Federal Chancellor in the federal government led by Helmut Schmidt . On April 28, 1982, on the occasion of a cabinet reshuffle, he took over the office of Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Finance. With the change of government and the end of the social-liberal coalition in October 1982, Huonker left the government.
