Gustav Bruch (brewery owner)

Gustav Samuel Daniel Bruch (born January 12, 1822 in Saarbrücken-St. Johann , † July 7, 1899 there ) was a German brewery owner and politician.

Gustav Bruch belonged to an old Saarbrücken family. He attended grammar school and secondary school in Saarbrücken and later worked as a local politician and owner of the Bruch brewery in Saarbrücken. From 1870 to 1887 Bruch was an alderman for the city of Saarbrücken. He became an honorary citizen of the city of Saarbrücken. Gustav-Bruch-Straße in Saarbrücken is named after him.

From 1867 to 1869 he was a member of the constituency of Trier 5 ( Saarbrücken ) in the Reichstag of the North German Confederation . As a result, he was also a member of the Customs Parliament from 1868 to 1869 . He belonged to the National Liberal Party .
