Gustav Jäde (born April 20, 1850 in Schwartau , † July 24, 1913 in Lübeck ) was a merchant , member of the Lübeck citizenship and the founder of two foundations .

Life

Jäde was born on April 20, 1850 in Schwartau in what was then the Principality of Lübeck, the son of a blacksmith . After finishing school in Schwartau, Gustav Jäde did a commercial apprenticeship in Lübeck, acquired knowledge of the cloth trade and founded his manufacturing business in Lübeck in 1882, which laid the foundation for his prosperity.
