Then he came to occasional assignments in various competitions, u. a. seven in the Series A . In 2015 he was initially loaned to lower-class clubs for which he competed in the state championships.

In August 2015, the Nacional Funchal from Portugal took over the player on the basis of a loan deal. Gustavo Henrique made 19 appearances in league and cup, but not beyond the role of reserve player . He stayed until the end of January 2016 and then returned to the Criciúma EC. Here Gustavo Henrique prevailed as a regular player and came to 32 appearances in various competitions. In August of that year he moved to Corinthians São Paulo . He made his first appearance for the club in Série A on September 8, 2016 against Sport Recife . In that game he was substituted on for Cristian Baroni after half- time.

At the start of the 2017 season, Gustavo Henrique was loaned to EC Bahia for one year . With the club won the Copa do Nordeste and played games in the Série A. He was given over to the Goiás EC during the current season . Again, as part of a lending agreement by year-end, Gustavo Henrique played the rest of the year in the Série B . After the end of the 2017 season, it was announced that Gustavo Henrique would be loaned to Fortaleza EC for 2018 .

After Gustavo Henrique spent the 2019 season fully at Corinthians and won the São Paulo state championship with the club , another loan deal followed in February 2020. He should go to Internacional Porto Alegre by the end of the year . Although Gustavo Henrique from Corinthians had already been used in the Copa Libertadores 2020 , he was also allowed to play for Internacional in the competition. After football was stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic in mid-March 2020, he had made three appearances for Internacional (two in the state championship in Rio Grande do Sul and one in the Copa Libertadores). In July 2020 the loan to Internacional was prematurely terminated and Gustavo Henrique moved to South Korea . Here he signed a contract with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors . On July 26th, the thirteenth matchday of the 2020 season, the club took to the field for the first time in the championship competition. In the home game against FC Seoul he was substituted on for Cho Gue-sung after the half - time break and scored in the 63rd minute after Han Kyo-won's presentation to make it 3-0.
