Häggenås is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of County of Jämtland and the historic province of Jämtland . The place is about thirty kilometers north of Östersund on the river Hårkan .

The inland railway stops in the small station in the summer months. The Europastraße 45 leads through the place. Häggenås has its own church, which was built between 1831 and 1837.

The number of inhabitants in Häggenås has been quite stable over the last fifty years in contrast to other towns in northern Sweden. The highest number of inhabitants was found in 1990 with 373 inhabitants.
