Lit is a locality ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Jämtlands län and the historic province of Jämtland .

Lit is located 23 km north of Östersund on the European route 45 . There are a few shops and a petrol station in Lit. The church of Lit dates back to 1797. The station is located on the inland railway and is operated in the summer months for passenger traffic, outside of this time only freight traffic takes place.
