Håkan Sund

Håkan Sund (born September 5, 1946 in Sandviken ) is a Swedish pianist , conductor and composer .

Sund was in Sweden as a pianist, among other concerts in the Berwaldhallen , the amusement park Grona Lund and the amusement park Liseberg . He played the classical concert repertoire as well as modern music and jazz . As a song accompanist , he worked with the famous opera singers Barbara Hendricks , Håkan Hagegård and Malena Ernman , among others .

Håkan Sund teaches piano at the Royal Music Academy ( Kungliga Musikhögskolan ) in Stockholm .

As a conductor, he led the orchestra of the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm ( Kungliga Filharmoniska orkestern ), the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra Stockholm ( Radioorkestern ), the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra ( Symfoniorkestrarna i Göteborg ) and the symphony orchestras in Malmö , Norrköping and Odense . He conducted orchestral concerts, operas and operettas .

Sund also works as a choir director. He directed the Bach Choir ( Bachkören ), the Swedish Radio Choir ( Radiokören ) and the Swedish male choir Orphei Drängar . He is also the director of the Akademiska Kören ( The Stockholm Academic Choir ).

Sund also works as an arranger and composer.

He is the brother of Robert Sund .
