Héctor Julio López Hurtado SDB (born July 23, 1941 in Tunja , Colombia ) is a Colombian religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Girardot .

Life

Hector Julio Lopez Hurtado entered the religious order of the Salesians of Don Bosco and received on 30 June 1968, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

December 15, 1987 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Elicroca and ordered him to the Apostolic Vicar of Ariari. The Apostolic Nuncio in Colombia, Archbishop Angelo Acerbi , donated him episcopal ordination on February 27, 1988 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Duitama , Jesús María Coronado Caro SDB, and the Bishop of Sincelejo , Héctor Jaramillo Duque SDB. On October 29, 1999, John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Granada en Colombia. John Paul II called him Bishop of Girardot on June 15, 2001 .

On July 11, 2018, Pope Francis accepted Héctor Julio López Hurtado's resignation due to reasons of age.
