The Hörnle is a 706.6  m above sea level. NHN high mountain in front of the Swabian Alb in the districts of Esslingen and Reutlingen in Baden-Württemberg .

Geographical location

The Hörnle lies between Neuffen (Esslingen district) in the north-east and Dettingen an der Erms (Reutlingen district) in the south, with the borders of both communities and districts running exactly over its crest. The northern slope of the Hörnle was previously used as a quarry. Mount Jusi ( 672.6  m ) lies in the north-western neighborhood .

Nature reserve

With the ordinance of the Stuttgart regional council of November 21, 1997, part of the Hörnle with the name Neuffener Hörnle-Jusenberg with a total area of ​​48.0 hectares was designated as a nature reserve.
