The Hörzendorfer Bach (also called Draschelbach in the upper reaches ) is a brook in the municipality of Sankt Veit an der Glan in central Carinthia . It rises on the eastern slope of the Ulrichsberg west of Wainz . From there it flows east and then turns northeast. It flows through Draschelbach before reaching Hörzendorfer See from the south . The Projerner Bach flows into the lake from the west. At the northeast corner of the lake is the outflow of the Hörzendorfer Bach, which flows north through Hörzendorf and continues past Unterbergen . North of Unterbergen it flows into the Glan on the southwestern outskirts of the municipality's capital St. Veit an der Glan .
In the Hörzendorfer Bach, larvae or pupae of black flies ( Simulium (Simulium) noelleri , Simulium (Simulium) rostratum ) have been detected. One of the few occurrences of the Semling ( Barbus balcanicus ) in Austria is in the Hörzendorfer Bach.
