The Hütbach is a 2.8 km long, left tributary of the Ascha in the Schwandorf district in Upper Palatinate in Bavaria . It rises in Gallholz on the southwest slope of the 602 meter high Heidschlag, southeast of Pondorf and flows in a westerly direction. For the first one to one and a half kilometers of its run, it bears the name Scheerbach . Scheer means mole in the Upper Palatinate dialect. Then, from the ponds near the Rosentalwiese, it is called Hütbach. The Hütbach always flows in a westerly direction. It passes under the Bavarian-Bohemian Friendship Path , which is on the former Nabburg – Schönsee railway line , and then the 2152 state road . In the southern part of Schneeberg it flows into the Ascha.
