HTC Incredible is a smartphone series from the manufacturer HTC with the Android operating system . The first model appeared on the market in May 2010.

HTC Droid Incredible

The HTC Droid Incredible is also known as the HTC Incredible . It was offered by Verizon from May 2010 to March 2011. It has a 1  GHz Snapdragon processor and version 2.1 of the Android operating system. There are strong technical similarities to the HTC Desire smartphone . In contrast to the Desire, the Droid Incredible has some technical improvements, such as: B. the built-in flash memory with a size of 8 GB or the 8-megapixel camera with dual flash.

Technical specifications

The Droid Incredible uses an AMOLED - multi-touch screen and an 8 megapixel camera. It also has Bluetooth 2.1, an FM radio , a GPS receiver as well as an acceleration sensor and a digital compass .

The HTC Incredible S is the successor to the HTC Droid Incredible, which is not available in Germany, and has been available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland since March 2011.

Technical specifications

Operated, the Incredible S with a Qualcomm - processor Snapdragon 8255 1GHz in combination with the GPU Adreno 205 and 768 MB RAM. This system is about twice as powerful as the Snapdragon 8250 of the previous model.

Initially, it came with Android 2.2 Froyo and HTC Sense 2.1. An initial update to 2.3.5 Gingerbread and HTC Sense 3.0 was followed in July 2012 by the update to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich (software 4.10.405.1) and HTC Sense 3.6.

The device obtains apps from the Google Play store or alternative app stores.

The device is operated via a 4-inch, capacitive sLC display with a resolution of 480 × 800 pixels. In addition, the device can be operated using the four backlit touch buttons Home, Menu, Back and Search , which are placed below the display and turn when you switch from portrait to landscape mode.

The eight-megapixel camera on the back takes photos with 3264 × 2448 pixels and videos in HD quality. There is a 1.3 megapixel camera for video telephony on the front.

Supported data transmission standards are Bluetooth 2.1, WLAN b, g, n , DLNA for data transmission to a computer or television, GPRS , EDGE and HSDPA with 14.4 Mbit / s and HSUPA with 5.76 Mbit / s.

Others

The Incredible S and the Desire HD are very similar and differ almost only in the display size.
