The mountain Hahnenkamm in the border area of ​​the communities of Höfen , Wängle and Weißenbach am Lech in Tyrol is 1938  m above sea level. A. high.

With the Reutten cable cars, it houses the largest ski area in the Reutten basin. In summer it is used as a tourist hiking area and as an agricultural pasture area for cattle breeding. From the mountain there is a view of the Reutten basin (in the east to the Zugspitze ) and a paraglider starting point.

Ascent routes

The starting point for the ascent from the east ( Reutten Basin ) is the municipality of Wängle (882 m) in the Lech Valley . From there the path leads via the Holz district to the Cilly Hut ( 1585  m ) and the Höfener Alm ( 1733  m ), which is served in summer . Alternatively and faster, you can take the Hahnenkamm gondola lift of the Reuttener Bergbahnen to the mountain station, which is only a little higher up. From there you can reach the summit via the eastern ridge. The starting point for the ascent from the west is the community of Nesselwängle ( 1136  m ) in the Tannheimer Tal . The path leads over the Schneetalam ( 1650  m ), which is hosted in summer, to the Tiefjoch ( 1717  m ). From there you can reach the summit via the north ridge. From the south a path leads over the 1986  m high Gaichtspitze to the summit. The starting points for this ascent are Weißenbach am Lech , the Weißenbacher district Gaicht or the Gaichtpass .
