Ascent routes
The starting point for the ascent from the east ( Reutten Basin ) is the municipality of Wängle (882 m) in the Lech Valley . From there the path leads via the Holz district to the Cilly Hut ( 1585 m ) and the Höfener Alm ( 1733 m ), which is served in summer . Alternatively and faster, you can take the Hahnenkamm gondola lift of the Reuttener Bergbahnen to the mountain station, which is only a little higher up. From there you can reach the summit via the eastern ridge. The starting point for the ascent from the west is the community of Nesselwängle ( 1136 m ) in the Tannheimer Tal . The path leads over the Schneetalam ( 1650 m ), which is hosted in summer, to the Tiefjoch ( 1717 m ). From there you can reach the summit via the north ridge. From the south a path leads over the 1986 m high Gaichtspitze to the summit. The starting points for this ascent are Weißenbach am Lech , the Weißenbacher district Gaicht or the Gaichtpass .
