Subshrub
The shrub (lat. Suffrutex) is a perennial plant that down woody whose branches the current growing season , however, are not woody. Its properties are somewhere between herbaceous plants and shrubs . The not lignified parts of the plant die in deciduous species at the end of the growing season; the new growth at the beginning of the vegetation period then takes place from the woody parts of the plant. Flowers and fruits are usually formed on the annual shoots.
