Hamburg Masters (Hockey)
The Hamburg Masters is an international hockey tournament for men's national teams. It has been held annually since the third edition in 1996 (except in 1999 and 2011). The tournament is organized by the German Hockey Association (DHB). It was carried out under different sponsor names. In 1989 it was called the Panasonic Cup , from 1997 Panasonic Masters , from 2002 only Hamburg Masters, from 2008 BDO Hamburg Masters and since 2012 ERGO Masters . From 2012 onwards, it will take place in Düsseldorf (in even years) and Hamburg (in odd years) on an annual basis. In 2018 it was renamed real HOCKEY FOUR NATIONS CUP .
In 2017 the tournament took place from June 23rd to 25th in Hamburg at the Uhlenhorster HC facility . Besides Germany, participating nations were the national teams of Spain, Austria and Ireland. The tournament schedule can be found on the DHB website. The Irish team, appearing for the second time at the Masters, won the tournament in a thrilling final game against the German national team.
