Hannah Lilian Wilkinson (born May 28, 1992 in Whangarei ) is a New Zealand soccer player .

Career

society

Wilkinson began her career with North Force, where she was named to the first team by the youth in 2010. In the spring of 2011 she left North Force and joined the Glenfield Rovers. From 2012 she played for the Tennessee Volunteers, the University of Tennessee . After scoring 22 goals in 49 games in the first three years, she missed the entire 2015 season due to an injury. After three seasons and graduating from the University of Tennessee, she moved to Sweden to Vittsjö GIK in March 2017 . In her first season in the Damallsvenskan, she avoided relegation to the Elitettan with her club as third from bottom . In 2018 , Vittsjö was fourth from bottom, two points ahead of a relegation zone.

International

Wilkinson has been a U-20 international since 2010 and made her debut in January. She was called up for the first time by John Herdman for the senior team with 5 goals in 3 games for the U-20s. Wilkinson celebrated her debut in the friendly against Australia on February 17, 2010. In July 2010 she was then nominated for the U-20 Women's World Cup in Germany 2010 , where Wilkinson was eliminated with New Zealand in the preliminary round. She made her first international match for the senior national team on February 17, 2010 at the age of 17 in a 3-0 draw against Australia , where she was right in the starting line-up. In the following five games she was substituted on. In the first game of the Women's Oceania Cup in 2010 , she was back in the starting line-up against Vanuatu and scored four goals in a 14-0 win. In total, she scored seven goals and was, together with her teammate Sarah Gregorius, the second best goalscorer behind her teammate Amber Hearn , who scored twelve goals. With an 11-0 record win in the final against Papua New Guinea , the New Zealanders not only became Oceania champions, but also qualified for the 2011 Women's World Cup .
