Hannes Bertle
Hannes Bertle (born June 22, 1910 in Munich ; † December 28, 1978 in Schruns ) was a German painter and restorer .
Life
Hannes Bertle comes from the Bertle family of artists . Both his grandfather Jakob Bertle and his father Hans Bertle were artists.
Hannes Bertle initially created landscape paintings , large-format frescoes , glass windows and crossroads using various techniques. The artist, who trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich , settled again in Schruns after the Second World War , where he met the abstract artists Lucas von Cranach and Hugo von Schönborn . After the war, however, he turned to abstract painting.
As a result, numerous wall frescoes and sgraffiti were created on public buildings in Vorarlberg. Bertle worked as a restorer for the Federal Monuments Office from 1955 to 1968 and has lived in Schruns since 1977.
