Hanns W. Feigen (* 1949 in Oberhausen ) is a German lawyer . He mainly works as a commercial and tax criminal defense lawyer in Germany.

Life

Feigen studied law and basics of medicine in Bonn after graduating from high school at the Aloisiuskolleg in Bonn . There he was assistant at the chair of Hans-Joachim Rudolphi . In 1983 he joined the law firm Redeker Schön Dahs & Sellner as a lawyer ; In 1987 he became a partner there. In 2001 he and his colleague Walther Graf founded the firm Feigen • Graf Rechtsanwälte.

Feigen is married to the lawyer Barbara Livonius, who also works in the field of white-collar crime. Since 1969 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Bavaria Bonn . Feigen has a son from his first marriage who has also become a lawyer.

Mandates

The main focus of his work is the defense of executives in commercial and criminal tax matters. As a corporate lawyer or individual defender, he has worked in numerous criminal proceedings.

• He defended the former CEO of Deutsche Post Klaus Zumwinkel before the Bochum Regional Court in its criminal tax proceedings. Zumwinkel received a two-year suspended prison sentence.
• In the criminal proceedings against the former Infineon board member Ulrich Schumacher for bribery, breach of trust and fraud, he obtained an acquittal on the main charges and, because of the remaining allegations of tax evasion, the suspension of the proceedings against a monetary requirement.
• He represented the interests of the Sal. Oppenheim bank in connection with the criminal proceedings relating to real estate transactions by the Sal. Oppenheim bank .
• He represented the Beluga founder Niels Stolberg in the investigation into serious fraud and breach of trust.
• In connection with the collapse of the Cologne City Archives, he represented the construction consortium with the members Wayss & Freytag (now BAM Germany ) and Züblin , led by Bilfinger Berger .
• In the preliminary investigation on suspicion of attempted fraud against the co-chairman of Deutsche Bank , Jürgen Fitschen , he was his defense lawyer.
• He represented the former head of the Porsche company , Wendelin Wiedeking , in the proceedings on suspicion of price manipulation.
• He defended the President of FC Bayern Munich , Uli Hoeneß, in criminal proceedings for tax evasion before the Munich II Regional Court . Hoeneß was sentenced to three years and six months in prison.
• He worked in the "leather spray process" and later in the "wood preservative process".
• In July 2017, on behalf of Deutsche Bahn , he countered the allegation of infidelity raised by opponents of the Stuttgart 21 rail project in a 23-page brief to the Berlin public prosecutor .
