Hanns Schloß (born March 3, 1903 in Saarbrücken , † January 6, 1986 in Starnberg ) was a German engineer and politician ( FDP / DVP ).

Life and work

After attending primary school in Saarbrücken, secondary school in Speyer and upper secondary school in Ludwigshafen am Rhein , Schloß completed a traineeship in an aircraft factory, in a sawmill and in a celluloid factory. He then took up a degree in electrical engineering as a working student, which he completed with the examination to become a qualified engineer.

From 1926 to 1933, Schloß worked as a sales representative and journalist for various newspapers and press correspondence in the Palatinate . He was involved in the youth movement , worked as a businessman from 1933 and later became a department head and authorized signatory.

Schloß was one of the founders of the Democratic People's Party (DVP) in Mannheim and was temporarily chairman of the FDP / DVP district association Mannheim-Land. In addition, he was a member of the executive board of the FDP Baden-Württemberg . In 1946 he was elected to the Schriesheim City Council. He was a member of the state parliament of Württemberg-Baden from 1946 to 1952, was a member of the state constitutional assembly of Baden-Württemberg and was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament until his resignation on December 29, 1953 . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1957. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of the FDP Baden-Württemberg .
