Hans-Rolf Stellwagen

Hans-Rolf Stellwagen (born October 10, 1925 in Herne ) is a former politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

Stellwagen, the son of an employee, attended elementary and high school. In World War II he performed military service and became a commissioned officer in captivity . He learned the profession of bank clerk .

In 1946 he joined the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) and was a city councilor in Neustrelitz in 1950/51 . From 1951 to 1955 he studied at the economics faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin with a degree in economics. From 1956 to 1959 he was senior research assistant at the Humboldt University. At the same time he worked actively in the CDU, was u. a. Local group chairman and until 1959 deputy district chairman in the CDU district association Berlin-Mitte . Later he worked as a chief accountant in VEB Surface Finishing and VEB Cutting and Forming Berlin-Köpenick .

From December 10, 1959 to 1962 he was - as the successor to Albert Kotulla - deputy chairman of the Berlin district association of the CDU, then from 1963 to 1983 chairman of the CDU's district association Berlin-Lichtenberg . Stellwagen was awarded the Otto Nuschke badge of the CDU in 1960 as an outward sign of thanks for the work that had been done since 1946.

From 1963 to 1967 Stellwagen was the Berlin representative in the Volkskammer . From November 10, 1965 to 1990, he was a member of the council and head of the finance department of the Berlin-Pankow district and thus the longest-serving district council in East Berlin.

On February 16, 1990, he was elected by the round table as first deputy to the district mayor of Berlin-Pankow, Nils Busch-Petersen .
