Hans Ferdinand Robert Schulze (born December 22, 1792 in Glogau , † June 19, 1874 in Koblenz ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

Military career

His father was a government and building officer, he himself received his school education in Breslau . Then Schulze joined the Silesian Artillery Brigade of the Prussian Army as a gunner on June 1, 1810 and was promoted to second lieutenant by mid-August 1813 . During the wars of liberation he acquired the Iron Cross 2nd class during the siege of Glogau .

After the war, on April 25, 1817, Schulze was transferred to the Prussian artillery brigade as prime lieutenant and was promoted to captain in early April 1826 . A year later he joined the 7th Artillery Brigade and on December 20, 1829, he became an artillery officer from the square in Minden . On October 24, 1832 he was transferred to the 4th Artillery Brigade , promoted to major in mid-March 1842 and appointed commander of the 1st Division on July 4, 1843. This was followed from January 7, 1849 as a brigadier of the 8th Artillery Brigade in Koblenz .
