Hans Hauenstein

Hans Hauenstein (born March 29, 1912 in Vienna ; † March 29, 1989 ibid) was an Austrian poet of Viennese songs and writers.

Life

Hans Hauenstein worked full-time in the hotel industry. In addition, he wrote the texts for over 300 Viennese songs, which were set to music by Robert Stolz , Karl Föderl , Charly Gaudriot , Hans Lang , Norbert Pawlicki and Hans Seiter.

From 1951 Hauenstein was a board member of AKM . In 1956, along with Peter Herz , Hans Eidherr, Ernst Arnold , Josef Petrak and others, he was one of the founding members of the Association of Austrian Text Authors (VOET), which he served as Vice President from 1974 to 1986 and President from 1974 to 1986.

He was the father of the musician Kurt Hauenstein (Supermax).
