Hans Herwarth von Bittenfeld (born September 16, 1887 at Gut Pätschow , Pomerania , † January 18, 1970 in Kiel ) was a German politician ( GB / BHE , later CDU ).

From 1950 to 1958 he was Vice President of the State Parliament of Schleswig-Holstein.

Life

Before the Second World War , Herwarth von Bittenfeld was a landlord at Stabeshöhe (today part of the municipality of Boitzenburger Land ) in the Uckermark . After the end of the war he came to Kiel as a displaced person .

He came from the old Augsburg city ​​noble family Herwarth von Bittenfeld and was the son of the royal Prussian major general Hans Herwarth von Bittenfeld (1853-1927) and Gertrud von Zanthier (1859-1946).

Herwarth von Bittenfeld married Minna Wienholz (1884–1963) in Prenzlau on July 26, 1912 and had three daughters.

Political party

In 1950 Herwarth was one of the founders of the All-German Bloc / Federation of Expellees and Disenfranchised (GB / BHE).

On June 9, 1958, Herwarth von Bittenfeld left the expellees party and joined the CDU on July 28, 1958.

MP

Herwarth was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament from 1950 to 1958 . During this time he was also the second vice-president of the state parliament and chairman of the state parliament committee for displaced persons .

On June 9, 1958, he left the GB / BHE parliamentary group and joined the CDU parliamentary group on July 28, 1958.
