Hans Jürgen Refior

Hans Jürgen Refior (* 12. March 1938 in Berlin ) is a German orthopedic surgeon and emeritus professors .

Life

As the son of Colonel i. G. Hans Refior studied medicine from 1957 to 1962 at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg , the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and the Universität Hamburg . In 1958 he became a member of the Corps Palatia-Guestphalia . 1963 doctorate he with a thesis at Ludwig Zukschwerdt in Hamburg Dr. med. Having a medical assistant had been in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin, he worked from 1963 to 1966 in the general and trauma surgery from Bethany (Berlin) . For orthopedic training he went to Günther Friedebold (1920–1994) at the Oskar-Helene-Heim in Berlin and to Alfred Nikolaus Witt in Munich. In 1969 he became a specialist in orthopedics . In 1970/71 he was a resident and medical officer at the Bundeswehr Hospital in Munich. Habilitated senior physician since 1973, he became associate professor at LMU in 1979 . In October of the same year, Hanover Medical School appointed him as a C4 professor for orthopedics. In 1980 he became director of the orthopedic clinic in Annastift (Hanover) . In 1986 he accepted the LMU's call to the orthopedic chair ; thus he was director of the orthopedic university clinic in the Großhadern Clinic . Until December 1996 he was also director of the State Orthopedic Clinic in Munich. He retired on September 30, 2003.
