Hans J. Glass

Hans Josef Glas (born October 4, 1937 in Regensburg ) is a German painter and draftsman .

Life

Hans J. Glas is the older brother of the sculptor Heinrich Glas . He studied mechanical engineering at the Regensburg University of Applied Sciences from 1959 to 1963 , then worked as an engineer and increasingly devoted himself to art, primarily landscape and architectural painting .

Since 1996 he has taken part in the Great East Bavarian Art Exhibition (GOK) of the BBK Niederbayern / Upper Palatinate several times and also exhibited at the annual exhibitions of the Regensburg Art and Industry Association . He had solo exhibitions in the art gallery in the historic Reitstadl in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz (1985), in the small gallery in his hometown (1989) and in the Ingolstadt gallery in the Velhornhaus (2005).

Works by him are in the Bavarian State Painting Collection in Munich , in the collections of the cities of Ingolstadt and Regensburg, the Regensburg Tax Building Authority , the Association of Bavarian Districts and the Lower Bavaria-Upper Palatinate State Insurance Institute, which was incorporated into the German Pension Insurance Bavaria South in 2007.
