Hans Ludwig Freiherr von Maltzahn (born March 9, 1837 in the Vanselow mansion ; † January 3, 1899 there ) was the manor owner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Until 1856 he attended the Sundisches Gymnasium in Stralsund and then the universities of Heidelberg , Erlangen and Berlin . In Heidelberg he became a member of the Corps Vandalia in 1857 . In the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71 he took part in the 14th Army Corps and received the Iron Cross 2nd Class .

From 1870 to 1872 he had Georg Daniel build the new mansion Vanselow. An alliance coat of arms of his family and his wife's family is still visible on the manor house today.

From November 1888 to 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency administrative district Stettin 1 Demmin , Anklam and the German Conservative Party .

family

Hans Ludwig von Maltzahn belonged to the noble family Maltzahn .

He married Agnes Alice von Lücken from the Zahrensdorf house (* 1841; † 1930 in Berlin ).

His son Hans-Mortimer von Maltzahn (* 1863; † 1916), who was born with Anna von der Schulenburg from Beetzendorf (* February 28, 1868; † February 9, 1961), a daughter of Werner von der Schulenburg (1829-1911) , was married, died in the First World War . His daughter Veronika (* 1892, † 1946) was married to Joachim von Blücher .

His only daughter, Anni von Maltzahn, († end of June 1948 in Lauenburg / Elbe ) was a porcelain painter in the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin .
