Hans Mayr was a typical student of Otto Wagner, who initially followed his postulates exactly. Over time, however, he softened the modern architectural style by including traditional design elements. Together with Theodor Mayer, he implemented a moderately modern design language. With the last construction project, a block of flats with small apartments in Inzersdorfer Straße, the two architects broke new ground. In its conception and form, this building anticipated the architecture of communal housing of the 1920s.
