Hans Pfülf

Hans Pfülf (born December 31, 1892 in Munich ; † December 7, 1969 there ) was a German entrepreneur and business representative. Among other things, he was a member of the Bavarian Senate , President of the Bavarian Brewers' Association and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria .

Pfülf was the son of the high-ranking Bavarian administrative officer Theodor Pfülf . From 1902 he attended the St. Stephan high school in Augsburg and from 1910 the high school in Bayreuth, where he graduated from high school in 1911. He then joined the Imperial Navy as a midshipman and was stationed on the great cruiser SMS Gneisenau from 1913 . When the Gneisenau sank in December 1914 off the Falkland Islands, he was one of the few survivors. He was taken prisoner by the British and was transferred to the Admiral's staff in Berlin in May 1918 after an exchange of prisoners. After his demobilization on November 24, 1919, he did a banking apprenticeship at the Bayerische Vereinsbank and in 1920 married the brewer's daughter Gertraut Pschorr.

After three years at Deutsche Bank, he became a member of the board of Pschorrbräu AG in 1923 . From 1926 he also held a board position at the German Brewers 'Association and the Bavarian Brewers' Association until he was dismissed from both honorary posts in 1933. From 1939 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War, most recently as a frigate captain , commander of the 2nd Marine Flak Brigade , commander in the Cuxhaven section and commander in the Wilhelmshaven section .

After returning to Pschorrbräu AG and rebuilding it, he was a member of the management board there until 1965 and then chairman of the supervisory board. He was also involved again in the industry associations and was President of the Bavarian Brewers Association and the German Brewers Association, from 1952 to 1961 also President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Munich and Upper Bavaria and from 1962 to 1967 a member of the Bavarian Senate.
