He became known through appearances on TV shows on ARD and ZDF .

Life

Hans Uwe Schneider grew up in Wiesbaden-Biebrich . After the early death of his father, he lived alone with his mother. He attended the Pestalozzi School in Biebrich. At the age of 10, he began to imitate not only his own teachers, but also legendary actors like Hans Moser and Theo Lingen . His classmates paid him small ribs of chocolate if he imitated the teacher or a movie star.

From 1975 Hans Uwe Schneider lived in Erbach (Rheingau) . He was married twice and had three grown sons from his first marriage.

job

After finishing school, he learned to be an electrical engineer and became a lighting technician at the TV studio “Unter den Eichen” in Wiesbaden. Among other things, the Blaue Bock was produced here with Heinz Schenk . At the end of the 1950s, Heinz Schenk and Caterina Valente became aware of the talent of the young illuminator in the television team, who was able to perfectly imitate 100 voices. As a result, he received a number of engagements. He appeared at The Grand Prix by Wim Thoelke , with Rudi Carrell in Die verflixte 7 and Amlauf Band , at gala show evenings and of course in the Blauer Bock. In 20 years he had participated in over 100 programs on ARD and ZDF.

The personalities that Schneider parodied mainly included great singers such as Iwan Rebroff , Heino , Freddy Quinn , Elvis Presley , Vico Torriani , but also Hildegard Knef , Zarah Leander and the politician Willy Brandt . Schneider imitated the big stars so perfectly that records were released with his songs. Over 300 singles and long-playing records were created in this way. Schneider never saw his parodies as a mocking caricature. His interpretations mimicked the authenticity and the voices should sound like you are hearing the original person directly. The art of phonetic doubling has been taken to the extreme.

Private

In his garden was a real airplane that he had bought as a special gag over 20 years ago. Guests who visited him at home were occasionally allowed to sit in the cockpit. Once it happened that a helicopter pilot, while overflight, thought that an airplane had crashed here and caused a false alarm .
