Kurt Stadel

Kurt Stadel (born February 13, 1940 as Kurt Stadelmann in Wilhelmshaven ; † February 2, 2020 in Wilhelmshaven) was a German voice imitator .

The trained plumber began his career as a member of the Four Kings . During a tour, the presenter of the show, Rudi Carrell , noticed Stadel's talent that this other singer could perfectly imitate. A six-minute appearance as a voice imitator on the Rudi Carrell Show in November 1969 made Stadel suddenly known to a nationwide audience. The successful show feature earned him a picture title headline, a record deal and offers for several film roles.

Stadel retired from the stage in 2005. He lived in the Wilhelmshaven district of Fedderwarden , where he ran horse breeding for Oldenburgers . He died in February 2020, a few days before his 80th birthday, in his hometown.
