Hans Walter Müller

Hans Walter Müller (* 1935 in Worms ) is a German civil engineer , architect and artist .

Life

Hans Walter Müller was born in Worms in 1935 and was interested in magic at the age of 14, to which he remained connected later. He studied at the Technical University of Darmstadt and passed the main diploma examination in 1961. He then continued his studies in Paris and concentrated his architectural investigations on the materials of his time: artificial light, the projection of images, plastic material, electric motors in the service of "architecture in motion" (1965). He received prizes at the Paris Biennale (1965) and at the German pavilion at the Montréal International Exhibition (1967).

He belongs to the Art cinétique movement and is the creator of the “inflatable” - constructions made of plastic structures that are given their shape by means of air pressure. Hans Walter Müller has lived in an inflatable house since 1971.

He works with artists such as Jean Dubuffet , Salvador Dalí and Maurice Béjart .
