Montigny-lès-Cormeilles is a French municipality with 21,601 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Val-d'Oise in the region of Ile-de-France . It is located in the northwestern suburb of Paris . The city is administratively part of the Argenteuil arrondissement and is part of the canton of Herblay .

Montigny-lès-Cormeilles is located about 19 km northwest of Paris . The neighboring municipalities are: Beauchamp in the north, Franconville in the northeast, Sannois in the east, Cormeilles-en-Parisis in the south, La Frette-sur-Seine in the south-west, Herblay-sur-Seine in the west and Pierrelaye in the north-west.

Charlemagne donated the Saint-Denis Abbey here, from the core of which the Montigny settlement emerged.
