La Frette-sur-Seine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Herblay-sur-Seine in the north and north-west, Montigny-lès-Cormeilles in the north-east, Cormeilles-en-Parisis in the east and south, Maisons-Laffitte in the south-west and Achères in the west.
La Frette-Montigny station is on the Paris-Saint-Lazare-Mantes railway line.
