Hans Waschatko

Hans Waschatko , born as Johann Josef Waschatko (born April 12, 1877 in Vienna ; † November 15, 1948 there ) was an Austrian actor .

biography

Johann Josef Waschatko began his stage career in 1904 in Meran ( South Tyrol ) with his first permanent engagement. Until 1914 he performed at venues in Reichenberg , Klagenfurt , Regensburg , Stettin , again Meran (1910-12), Breslau and Weimar . In 1915, Waschatko followed a call to Dresden , where he was to stay until 1920. He later found employment at a number of Berlin and Vienna venues.

With the beginning of the sound film age, you saw Hans Waschatko, who had already made his cinema debut when he moved to Berlin in 1920, with an abundance of small and small roles on the screen. In the Third Reich he was one of the busiest actors in his country with over 70 film roles.

Waschatko died in the autumn of 1948 in a traffic accident.
