biography
education and profession
Weinberger grew up in an orphanage in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate . After completing a commercial apprenticeship, he completed a scholarship from the City of Nuremberg to study at the German University of Politics in Berlin . Weinberger completed his studies with a state examination as a social welfare worker . After the founding of the social democratic Reichsarbeitsgemeinschaft der Kinderfreunde (RAG), he took over its management. As a result of the prohibition of RAG after the seizure of power of the Nazis Weinberger in 1933 became unemployed. Through his intensely networked contacts, he was able to find a job as sales manager for the weekly magazine Blick in die Zeit , which was then also banned in 1935. Weinberger was involved in the resistance against the Nazi regime. The Gestapo arrested him in mid-June 1938 . He came into custody. Since he could not prove any concrete political crimes, Weinberger was released from prison at the end of November 1938.
After the Second World War , Hans Weinberger worked in the State Youth Welfare Office of the Free State of Bavaria from 1945 to 1966 .
