Hans Wenzel Baudis

Hans Wenzel Baudis , (born August 21, 1879 in Rothaujezd near Meronitz , Bohemia , † January 21, 1947 in Elsterwerda ) was a Sudeten German educator and writer .

Life

Baudis, who was born in Rothaujezd near Bilin in northern Bohemia , studied in Leitmeritz and at the teachers' seminar in Vienna . In the following years he worked as a teacher in various places. Among other things, he was an elementary school teacher in Mosern and Mariaschein . Baudis later became a subject teacher in Aussig . In 1911 he became a professor at the business school in Brüx in Northern Bohemia and in 1917 was finally its director. He wrote dramas, short stories and works of poetry.

family

The son of Hans Wenzel Baudis, Hans Baudis, was initially a spa doctor in Jáchymov and later, after several years of imprisonment, a doctor in Großenhain (including Corinna Harfouch's pediatrician ).

A grandson of HW Baudis, Günther Sterba , was professor of zoology at the University of Leipzig and is known as the author of standard works on aquaristics .

One great-grandson, Michael Baudis, is a professor of bioinformatics at the University of Zurich .

Baudis also wrote school books and educational writings. A large part of his work is said to have been lost after the war ended in 1945. In 1956 Lore Hergel published the selection volume entitled "Harvest on the Field of Life".
