Hans Adolph Weymar (born February 1, 1884 in Uelsby , † July 4, 1959 in Hamburg ), also known as the “beautiful Hans”, was a German football player .

Career

Weymar belonged to the SC Victoria Hamburg from 1901 to 1917 , for which he played in the Hamburg-Altona Football Association in the regional top division, the A-class. During this time he and the team won the class championship six times, once, in 1904/05, only in the play-off, which was won 5-4 against SC Germania in 1887 . In this regard, he played a total of four games in the final round of the German Championship. On May 28, 1905, he lost with his team in Berlin 3: 5 against Dresdner SC in the opening game , as well as on April 29, 1906 in Altona in the 1: 3 defeat against the Berlin TuFC Union 92 . Weymar learned the profession of bank clerk and later worked as managing director of a cattle wholesaler at the Hamburg slaughterhouse .

A heel injury sustained in World War I forced him to stop playing football. He joined the Harvestehuder tennis and hockey club , for which he played regularly. In high summer temperatures he suffered during a tennis - double a myocardial infarction , he died of the consequences of the July 4, 1959 75 years old.
